  18. Several years ago I had a small yet growing loss of hair on the center of my crown. Didn't bug me too much. But I started taking Biotin. 10,000 mcg per day. Firstly, high doses of Biotin can interfere with certain types of blood tests so if you take a lot of it, tell your doctor. Slowly but steadily the hair began to regrow. It takes a long time. But the bald spot is gone. The regrown hair is thinner but I still keep taking Biotin. Some hair loss remedies work if you are patient and do not give up if it is something important. At 65 years old I have a great head of hair and no receding hairline. My finger and toe nails grow thinker and faster now also.
