  1. Hi I have CKD Stage 3 with hypokalemia. I don't have high blood pressure, I dont have diabetes. I have eGFR of 38 and creatinine of 136. I have CKD because of RTA. Can you help me with my diet? I am now having Low Carbs high protein diet. Am I doing it wrong?

  2. Would this diet be okay for someone trying to avoid dialysis? My dad has been told he might need dialysis soon. We’ve been able to get him on a low potassium and sodium diet that actually raised his kidney function for a while but now he’s back to the beginning. I don’t want him to go through dialysis.

  3. KNOW THAT THIS IS A NUTRITIONIST, NOT A DIETICIAN. THE DIET FOR KIDNEY PATIENTS HAS CHANGED SINCE THIS WAS MADE SO BASICALLY YOU NEED TO SEE A DIETICIAN FOR A DIET SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU. WHY? THERE ARE MANY CAUSES OF KIDNEY PROBLEMS AND THE DIFFERENT TYPES REQUIRE DIFFERENT DIETS BASED UPON YOUR BLOODWORK. DO NOT GO BY THIS PRESENTATION AND SEE A PROFESSIONAL REGARDING YOUR CONDITION.

  4. I am a dialysis patient and this video was very informative. I enjoyed it!!! Thanks!!!

  5. I'm on dialysis and a lot of things that you have just told me I didn't know but I'm learning more day by day thank you for just information

  6. Thank you
My dad started dialysis this week
We were trying to figure out what he should it
I created a list from your suggestions

  7. Hi, I think CKD dieticians should realize the the foods list should be compatible with a diabetic diet. As a lot of dialysis patients are diabetics. A diabetic should be very conscious of how many Carb are in their diet. The fruits and cereals in this list are ridiculous, they are very high in sugar and carbs. Black berries and raspberries are a better choice as they have more fibre. Long story short it is about time diabetic and dialysis dieticians should be working together to help provide better food choices. One diet does not fit all.

  8. I think she is the only person that i actually understand, everyone else i just nod but still confused as hell and love how she shows and explain the difference . I screen shot the charts and saved this video. Thank you❤️

  9. She wants you to increase the protein intake so that the kidneys can work harder.

  10. I'm vegetarian and I have found 0 help with a vegetarian renal diet. Also, this is so restrictive I'm always hungry and depressed.

  11. Grapefruit has been proven to be dangerous for dialysis patients because it inhibits many medications from working properly.
Also, i can cause the side effects of certain medications to increase in their posibility.
    Pineapple is also not reccommended.
BEST SOLUTION IS: eating the samething everyday that has your restrictions condsidered and either water, certain fruit teas, or watered down grape juice.
this way there is no surprise in phosphorus, potassium, or sodium spikes.
All of which can be fatal within a few minutes after eating too much of either one.
