  1. What do you mean intermittent fasting and keto doesn't work? Because for me it worked perfectly fine, I was struggling with my weight most of my life and I've tried following the standard food pyramid and exercise but it didn't help me that much, I went to a doctor and I was diagnosed with pre diabetes even though I wasn't obese, sure I was overweight but it wouldn't go to the extinct of diabetes, right? My doctor introduced me to the keto diet and after running some tests he concluded that I'm able to get on the diet, I talked to a dietitian and she instructed me on what to eat, 5 months later went back to my doctor, and the results were amazing, I was no more pre diabetic, I lost over 18kg and my dark spots on my hands faded away, after that I switched to intermittent fasting I kinda still did eat keto ish most of the time window, and I was able to keep the weight off ever since, it's been three years since I started keto/keto-ish and intermittent fasting and I still do it and still feel amazing, I do understand that it may not work for everyone but for me personally it worked and still works and it was the best thing I did for my body and I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon.

  3. I’m a dietetic student currently getting my master’s degree…am I going to have to argue with people for the rest of my life? Because these comments…. ?? People can’t even disagree without fighting. Yes, some dietitians will be wrong, just like some people without a degree will be wrong as well. There is info everywhere, we know that already. Do what works best for you, it’s all about having a good relationship with food (however that looks for you personally).

  11. I disagree with diet pops not helping you with a diet, but even following 2 or 3 of these facts actually helps you a lot.
    Some cope with their binging with intermittent fasting, some are okay with sheer will power to help them with their diet.
    It's all about balance, health and CICO.

    Lorraine Kearney, in particular, seems besotted with very outdated ideas like breakfast is super important. It isn't. In the wild, creatures, rarely, if ever, stuff themselves first thing after waking up, and humans are animals. There's no harm eating breakfast, but the idea that it creates a sustainable base for the rest of the day is bullocks. It takes you two days to adjust to not having breakfast. Your body has plenty of glycogen reserves to burn off for fuel.
